Africa Surgery has again saved the lives of poor people in Sierra Leone who suffered from a hernia. One woman in the group photo is named Fatima Kamara. She says, “I had lost all hope because I no longer knew where help could come from to take this terrible disease away from me. But sometimes I still believe that God can do anything and one day He will still answer my prayer. When I approached Africa Surgery Netherlands and showed them my hernia, they immediately told me that I could go to the surgeon the next day.”
Fatima never expected that she could be helped so quickly. “I was astonished. I couldn’t even believe it! Thanks to them, I am completely healed. And I am no longer ashamed when I go to the shower in my building with other women who live here. I pray that that Africa Surgery Netherlands will have even more donors so that people like me do not have to suffer through this terrible disease.”
